Water
At GMexico, we are seeking to attain efficient management of resources, for which we have implemented plans for use and management that incorporate the principles of the reduction, reuse, and recycling of the resources we use, these being electrical power, fuels, and water, mainly.
Reuse of recovered water
The concentrators are the part of our mining operations that use the most water. This water is used to move tailing (waste) to the dam, and from there the water is pumped to be used again in the same concentration process.
We are working towards using less and less fresh water and, for now, we have achieved a less than 5% initial water loss on the production process.
